Auckland Design Week is a dynamic, future-focused annual event that celebrates and amplifies the vibrant creative culture of Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa. Bringing together the country's leading designers, thinkers, showrooms, brands, and retailers, ADW offers a collaborative platform to explore how design informs the way we live, work, and connect.

Our second event on 3rd – 9th March 2025 marked a significant step in the event’s evolution—experiencing strong domestic attendance growth, deeper public engagement, and increasing international interest. The introduction of the flagship Design Conference, featuring world-renowned speaker Karim Rashid, alongside an expanded program of installations, exhibitions, and workshops, has cemented ADW as a cornerstone event for New Zealand’s design community.

This momentum is paving the way for future ambitions: positioning Auckland as a key destination in the global design calendar, supporting Aotearoa’s creative export market, and exploring opportunities to grow ADW’s presence across other cities and regions. In time, we aim to represent New Zealand’s unique design identity on the global stage under the broader banner of Aotearoa Design Week, further connecting our local talent with international networks.
