Made in NZ: The Role of Making in Contemporary Design Practice

Explore how making is becoming more important to contemporary design practice at the Made in NZ exhibition, running throughout Auckland Design Week at Spacefor Tyler St, 52 Tyler Street in Britomart.

Clark Bardsley Design and a group of Aotearoa’s most exciting designers and makers will show a selection of new work in the space throughout ADW, revealing how hands-on experimentation, prototyping, and innovative production processes lead to the innovative outcomes on show. They will explore the importance of understanding materials—their properties, sources, and sustainability—and how this knowledge informs design decisions.
This essential exhibition captures a special moment in Aotearoa’s evolution of its own design identity, and will provide inspiration and insights for designers, makers, and enthusiasts alike.  Come along during the day and meet one of the designers manning the space.
